Well. This just started happening today. I was just sitting In my room and heard my A/C (outside my bedroom window) making really weird noises. Ive never heard before. so I turned it off not thinking about it. Forgot about it later and turned it back on. It was ok for a little while then I started noticing my lights flickering and my tv would turn off and then back on? so I turned the air off thinking it was the problem. sitting in my living room now watching tv it happens again. So I turn everything off in my house(lights,fans,etc) and just sat there. 10 minutes later I hear popping noises from my back yard or something. Not sure. But it scared the crap out of me. It was two pops. And then the fridge turned off then on. I went and looked at everything around my house and couldn't really tell if anything was wrong. No fire! Thankfully. But everytime after that it was the same. Two pops then shut off. It finally stopped. Then later onabout 12:00 am it happened again. Only my tv and living room light is on. No a/c. do you got a clue. I am clueless. And scared I'm going to wake up to a fire tonight. what a memorable day. should I call emergency too my electric company.
Other info. My house is old. The wiring in it is bad already. I know cause if you plug anything in like a hair dryer, microwave. Guitar amp. Anything. And my lights flicker. A/C unit outside is new. From what the owner tells us. but it doesn't work right. the thermostat doesn't work right. Out back I got big trees that may be messing with it. But I don't know. Please and thx
